
Course Description
The course is designed to equip the learners with language skills so the learners can cope in a work and social environment that requires communication in English. The content is based on the language needs, for addressing everyday predictable work tasks, on all four areas of communication: reading, listening, speaking and writing. The course offers a qualification that shows a learner has achieved a good foundation in learning English.
Course Competencies:
- Understand the general meaning of routine texts at work (email, letters, instructions)
- Follow clear presentations, speeches, discussions on familiar topics
- Understand and respond to different types of communication and requests at work and in social environments
- Produce coherent written production (emails, letters, notes, instructions) using correct and appropriate linguistic tools
